What is Gold Reviews?
Gold Reviews is an AI-powered review and reputation management platform for Australian businesses. It automates the process of collecting Google reviews, drafting review replies, and tracking your online reputation — so you can focus on doing great work instead of chasing feedback.
How do I get started?
Sign up at goldreviews.com.au, log into your dashboard, set up your voice settings (takes 2 minutes), and log your first job. The system sends a review request to your customer automatically. Check out our Getting Started guide for a step-by-step walkthrough.
Do I need any technical skills?
None at all. Gold Reviews is designed for business owners, not tech people. If you can send a text message and use a web browser, you can use Gold Reviews.
What industries does Gold Reviews support?
We currently support five industries: trades (including automotive), allied health, hospitality, professional services, and beauty. The platform adapts its language, SMS templates, and AI compliance rules to match your industry automatically.
How does the review request work?
When you log a completed job, Gold Reviews sends your customer a friendly SMS a few hours later asking for feedback. They tap a link, rate their experience, and leave an optional comment. Every customer sees the same two options: leave a Google review or send feedback directly to you. Happy customers tend to choose Google — which is exactly what you want.
Is this review gating? Is it legal?
No. Every customer gets the same experience — the same SMS, the same feedback form, the same opportunity. We don't filter who gets asked based on how they might rate you. The system complies with Google's Terms of Service and Australian consumer law.
What happens when someone leaves negative feedback?
Negative feedback comes to you privately through your dashboard. It never goes public automatically. This gives you the chance to follow up, fix the issue, and potentially turn an unhappy customer into a loyal one.
How does the AI draft replies work?
When a Google review comes in, Gold Reviews uses AI to draft a reply that matches your tone of voice, uses your sign-off, and follows your industry's compliance rules. You review the draft, make any tweaks, and post it. The AI never posts anything without your approval.
Can I edit the AI draft before posting?
Absolutely. The AI draft is a starting point. You can edit it as much as you like — change a word, rewrite the whole thing, or post it as-is. You're always in control of what goes public.
How does replying to a Google review help my business?
More than most people realise. Google's algorithm favours businesses that actively engage with their reviews, which can improve your local search ranking. Potential customers read your replies just as much as the reviews themselves — a thoughtful reply to a 5-star review reinforces trust, and a professional reply to a negative review shows you care. The businesses that reply consistently outperform those that don't.
Will my customers know it's automated?
The SMS comes from your business name, uses natural language, and feels like a personal message. Most customers just see a friendly text from their tradie, dentist, or accountant.
Can customers opt out of receiving SMS?
Yes. Every SMS includes "Reply STOP to opt out" at the end. If a customer replies STOP, they're removed from future messages immediately. This complies with the Australian Spam Act 2003.
When are SMS messages sent?
SMS messages are only sent between 9am and 6pm AEST, with a configurable delay (usually 2-4 hours) after a job is logged. We never send messages at antisocial hours.
What plans are available?
Three plans: Founding Member ($29/month — limited to 10 spots, locked for life), Growth ($49/month), and Dominate ($89/month). All plans include core review management. Growth adds AI responses and competitor tracking. Dominate adds integrations and a monthly strategy call.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — 14 days, credit card required. You get full access to the platform so you can see the value before you commit. Cancel anytime before the trial ends and you won't be charged.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime from your account settings. No lock-in contracts, no cancellation fees. Your account stays active until the end of your current billing period.
Do prices include GST?
Gold Reviews is not currently registered for GST, so no GST is charged on your subscription. If this changes, we'll let you know in advance.
What data do you collect about my customers?
The minimum needed to send a review request: their name and mobile number. We don't share this data with third parties, use it for marketing, or retain it beyond what's needed. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Full details on data storage and third-party services are covered in our Privacy Policy.
Who can see my private feedback?
Only you (the business owner) and any team members you grant access to. Private feedback is never shared publicly, never used in marketing, and never visible to other Gold Reviews clients. Your competitors cannot see your feedback.
I'm a health practitioner — is Gold Reviews AHPRA-compliant?
Yes. Gold Reviews has AHPRA compliance rules built into every layer. Our AI review replies never make therapeutic claims, confirm diagnoses, or reference specific treatments. AHPRA's guidance notes that engaging with reviews on third-party platforms may be considered testimonial use — which is why our AI focuses exclusively on the patient experience, never clinical content. Our SMS templates use appropriate language ("visit" not "consultation"). And when you use the testimonial features, we flag any quotes that contain clinical language before they reach your website.
