Why I built this

Built by a business owner, not a tech company.

I started Gold Reviews as an experiment — but somewhere along the way, it became something bigger. After 20 years running trades and retail businesses, I'd seen firsthand how hard small business owners work and how little help they get.

Questions we get asked a lot

What do I need to get started?

Just your Google Business Profile link and your customers' phone numbers. We handle everything else. Most businesses are sending their first review request within 10 minutes of signing up.

Is this compliant with Google's review policies?

Yes — completely. Every customer gets the same review link regardless of their expected rating. We actively monitor Google's review policies and update the platform whenever they change, so you're always covered. We never gate who gets a review request.

What if a customer leaves negative feedback?

Every customer gets the same choice — leave a Google review or share private feedback. On Growth and Dominate plans, when a customer chooses private feedback with a low score, the Comeback Engine kicks in: their feedback comes to your private dashboard, an automated check-in SMS goes out within 24 hours, and you get an escalation alert at 7 days if it's still unresolved. You can follow up, fix the issue, and rebuild the relationship — all within your dashboard.

What's the difference between Starter and Growth?

Starter covers the core product — SMS review requests, AI draft replies, and your dashboard. Growth adds competitor tracking, the Trust Score rewards system (earn discounts on your subscription), the Comeback Engine for private feedback recovery, Proof Vault for testimonial management, and the Gold Partner referral program. Most businesses who want the full platform choose Growth.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No lock-in contract, no cancellation fee. Cancel from your account settings whenever you like. If you're on the Founding Member plan, your rate is locked in for life — but you can still cancel if you ever need to.
